A number of falsely accused and wrongfully convicted citizens have served time in prison because of falsified evidence, purposely withheld evidence, witnesses who were coerced into providing false testimony, and witnesses who were intimidated into remaining silent. All of these injustices were perpetrated by those who have worn to uphold the law. Can police officers really be trusted anymore? Are too many of them committing crime rather than fighting crime? How can we get rid of corrupt police officers in order to truly have a system of justice?
