The Failure Of The Black Church - May 28,2013

The church in the black community was a place of healing and refuge. It was a place where some of the greatest civil rights leaders came from. The church was the meeting place and the moral compass in the black community. It seem like those days are gone and can it return. Black women are ranked the most religous in the nation but has the highest single parenting rate in the nation. How can church going women continue in this epideminc? The black church refuse to address the family issues,crime,racism and the great decline of morality in the black community. They have great places of worship but the problems are worse now than they were before de-segregation. These churches faithfully collect tithes and offerings but the church members cant get financial assistance if they need it from the same church they tithe to. We want to tackle this subject on a logical level and talk about what the direction should be.
