Professor Todd Clear of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York will be discussing the findings published in his newly released book "IMPRISONING COMMUNITIES-How Mass Incarceration Makes Disadvantaged Neighborhoods Worse". Professor Clear will discuss how the current policies of the criminal justice system actually exacerbates and contributes to worsening of the conditions of poverty and crime within economically disadvantaged communities.
