Beth Rudetsky began piano lessons at the age of 7 and continued her classical piano studies with concert pianist Morton Estrin receiving an advanced classical music degree at Hofstra University. She auditioned for the position of singer-pianist at composer Burt Bacharachs Restaurant in Oyster Bay, L.I. and for three years became the weekend house singer-pianist. There she met many entertainers such as Billy Joel and Neil Sedaka. She has sung on many pop-dance recordings and has written and performed her music for film, performed on Broadway and in many cabarets and blues clubs. Beth came up with the idea of combining her passion for reading crime-fiction novels along with her character-driven songwriting and created a new niche where she composes and sings original songs for authors novels. Her first venture was with UK author Zoe Sharp. The wonderful result is music/film videos featuring her original songs as opposed to the usual bland trailers that are out there and use only stock music and stock photographs. Michael Murphy is a full time writer, part time urban chicken rancher living in Arizona with his wife of forty years, two cats, four dogs and five chickens who produce a steady supply of cholesterol. He began writing novels in 1999 and saw his first, Try and Catch the Wind, published in 2007. Goodbye Emily is Michael Murphys eighth novel. Three baby boomers relive their 1969 trip to Woodstock...one final road trip...one last chance to say Goodbye Emily. Country Joe McDonald: “Michael, I just finished reading your novel and found it a fantastic read and wonderful story! It would make a terrific movie. Thanks for letting me see it. cheers, Joe.” Wavy Gravy: “What we have in mind is a sweet look back at the good old days. We must have been in heaven, man.”
