The streets of Detroit have produced some of the meanest football players the game has ever seen. It is also home to one of the highest crime rates in the United States. Playing sports is considered the lotto ticket to escape the trap of falling into trouble. Few make it, many do not. The determination and drive of William Hollis is real. His story is a remarkable one filled with adversity and numerous roadblocks in life that nearly prevented him from pursuing his dream. Through it all, Hollis has maintained focused on his goal of getting to the next level. From All-SIAC standout at Clark-Atlanta, to playing for Terry Bowden at North Alabama and eventually landing at Tuskegee, the time to shine is now.
